February movies

I finally finished the Stieg Larsson trilogy with The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest and I'd been led to believe that the last was the weakest of the three. I beg to differ. I actually preferred part three over part two. In order here's how I'd rank the three films: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest and The Girl Who Played With Fire. I also saw a really good German film from 2001 called The Tunnel that I'm going to do a short review of in the next few days. That movie was nearly three hours of awesome!

I should not have read the book before seeing the movie. (Yes, I'm that douche).

If it makes you feel better, I'm usually that kind of "douche" right there with you, ha.

This one was movie before book though...which means I won't read the books now.

I really enjoyed all of the Dragon movies, mostly b/c I couldn't take my eyes off of Noomi Rapace. She is one bad ass chick! Such a breathe of fresh air. I already feel bad for Rooney Mara, she simply won't hold a candle to Noomi. I saw a photo shoot of her in character and her skinny little arms give her away as a prissy ingenue. Noomi's got guns, a six pack and a tough as nails edge that you just can't fake.
