two good comedies! i re-watched 'after hours' a few months ago. i always loved that it was all in one night and it's got that gritty 80s NYC flavor. you turned me on to 'punch drunk' and i remember being seriously impressed by mr. sandler. you know me...i'm not a fan of his comedies and his SNL stuff annoyed me. he's got the chops though for black comedy/drama. yes and i remember enjoying the scene with mr. hoffman in the mattress store. will have to re-watch that again sometime.

He didn't show those chops in his latest--JACK AND JILL. I think he garnered 11 "Razzie" nominations! Wish he'd try to do something other than those brain-dead comedies but they always make $$$.

by the way, i love these typewriter reviews visually! short can be great too. "v-well" is my new favorite abbreviation!

I'm glad you like them as I do too and with new job [+ commute!], not going to have as much time to write long reviews. So, these are going to pop up fairly often.
