UTW review of How Do You Know

Go here if you want to read my recent review of the James L. Brooks comedy/drama How Do You Know. It stars Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson. It's a negative review if you like reading about how I couldn't stand a certain film. Those are often the most fun reviews to write to be perfectly honest. I want to see films that cause me to either love or to loathe--any reaction is better than no reaction.

yes! terrible. i went to see this looking for a comedy and popcorn on a dreary sunday afternoon. i figured paul rudd would be the one to save it if it was bad...but like you said...even he couldn't do anything with this. it was sad to see mr. n play-acting...terrible!

i just finished season 3 of the mary tyler moore show...created in part by brooks. it is indeed brilliant, but each episode is credited to various writers, not brooks.

since i am in the MTM mode...his name did catch my attention when picking out this film to watch. totally disappointing!

Brooks gets way too much credit for doing those TV shows. While they were great--it was 40 years ago!

yeah...i watched a few episodes last night and he is listed as an 'exec producer' and a 'script consultant'...not writer!
