I did a really in-depth interview with Zack Carlson about this movie. He actually doesn't like this poster because he thinks that the film is much deeper than it indicates. I think I like the poster, but agree that it's not for the right movie.
I'm thinking Zack might be over-analyzing it just a bit. It's an '80s b-film about revenge set in an urban wasteland as a gang terrorizes people. The poster reflects the gang's threat for violence and harm, the bullet through the title shows the audience how you have to deal w/ such people. The poster should be all pulpy and look like the wonderful genre picture it is.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I don't think the image I chose is the primary poster for this one--I saw another one a lot more when I looked for a poster image to use for my short review. Wonder if Zack was talking about the other poster?
