May movies

Saw more films this month, although there were a bunch of films I'm not listing due to Slumber Party 4 secrecy issues. I'm sure there was a CineRobot first in May--three scores of five in a row when I saw The Lady Eve, West Side Story [in 70mm!] and The Straight Story [also on film in a theatre] back-to-back-to-back. I also got to see Paper Moon at the ornate and beautiful Los Angeles in downtown [there's a ballroom below the theatre!] and was charmed and entertained by the raconteur Peter Bogdanovich for a blissful thirty minutes.

I loved The Lady Eve, too. I am happy these days my name is that, or the German version of it anyway. You know, all my necklaces mean something to me - anywhere from a certain memory to things/movies/people I generally love. I pay attention to that; otherwise I could own a hundred thousand necklaces without meaning. People at the library have started notiving and asking because some of those necklaces are real oddballs. Because of the Eve thing I already have an apple necklace that I really like. But I'm also working on a snake one (still looking for the right kind). Can't wait to find that perfect snake.

that Paper moon showing sounds great. Envious you saw Bogdanovich.
I'm going to try and see Hitchcock's Notorious at SLC's oldest movie theater this week, am really excited about it. The week after it's Mutiny on the Bounty with Gable, canyoubelieveit. If I don't catch that one and finally see Gable big-screen I should be shot.
