Go here if you want to read my reviews of The American and Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child in this week's Urban Tulsa Weekly. One is a slow moving yet artistic film about a hit man and the other is a documentary about an artist in the 1980s.

I groaned a couple times at the cheesy and overly-dramatic dialog in The American. Thank god there wasn't too much of it. Also, watching the Radiant Child a second time made me realize how great the music is in it and how it really adds to the cool vibe.

Didn't think the dialogue was as bad as you--just under developed and not really used for large chunks of the film.
